Gametour.com started at the end of 1998 with a few guys doing reviews here and there of games that we thought should be covered. We felt that games should be reviewed form the perspective of the audience the games is aimed at. We also wanted to level with the readers as equals instead of looking down on them, as most critics do. Since our induction, which was very modest, we have developed a system of capturing original screenshots and video which has added more of a professional look and a sense of humor to our reviews. We pride ourselves on getting reviews up quickly, within a day or two of when we get the game. People want to know about a game immediately, not a month later when the magazine comes out. That is why we are quick and updating our info 2 to 3 times a week.

Since our induction, we have doubled our hits every 90 days. We have begun to advertise our site in various search engines and other web sites. Currently, we are ranked highly on major search engines including, Goto.com, Excite, Yahoo, Lycos as well as AOL Search. Our click thru rate is 5% on targeted pages. We currently have about 1000 unique visitors with about 2500 page views per day.

We cover Dreamcast, Playstation, Nintendo 64, Gameboy, Neo-Geo Pocket Color, and Wonder Swan. Soon, we‘ll be covering PC, hardware and accessories. We feature reviews for American games and consoles as well as Japanese imports.
